Abstract
Today's experiment was to test the hypotheses that it was possible to cook a Bacon and Egg Burger on the sandwich toaster and produce a mouth watering burger that was twice the size and half the price of that produced by your local carbon footprint stomping, litigious fast food restaurant. Only equipment on hand was to be used, with the minimum amount of effort required to obtain a conclusive result. The experiment was very successful, with a very hot, wonderful smelling, Bacon and Egg Burger being the result.
Introduction
Today we performed another interesting experiment to see just how far we can push our sandwhich maker cookery. The sandwich maker is one of our favourite cooking utensils because it is relatively fast to heat up, is very easy to clean, and with a little know how, you can cook all sorts of interesting things on them.
We recommend sandwich makers having a flat non stick cooking surface. This makes them both versitile and very easy to clean.
Bacon and Egg Burgers were the subject of this experiment, with the aim being to produce very hot, very yummy, Bacon and Egg Burgers that would beat all competition from local fast food restaurants, while using only renewable resources.
Required Materials
* Sunbeam sandwich Toaster: Model: GR8400 240V, 2000W.
* 3 * slices of Texas Toast Bread (120mm * 1300mm * 15mm (W*H*D) each slice).
* 1 * Free Range Egg.
* Master Foods Barbecue Sauce 500ml.
* 2 * Bacon Rashes.
* Margarine.
* Salt and Pepper.
* Glass, 75mm diameter.
* Plate.
* Knife, spatula, fork.
Method
1. Trim any excess fat from the bacon.

2. Put the bacon on the sandwich toaster, and apply the power to the toaster.

3. Cook the bacon for 2 minutes.

4. While waiting for the bacon to cook, get 3 slices of Texas Toast bread from the packet.

5. Use the open end of glass and gently push it onto one slice of bread on the plate to make a hole in the centre. Consume the centre of the bread to reduce the cravings that will occurr from the smell of the cooking bacon.

6. After the bacon has cooked for the designated time, move the bacon to the back of the toaster, and place the slice of bread with the hole onto the toaster.

7. Crack the Free Range Egg from a Happy Chicken into the centre of the bread over the hole.

8. Ensure that the egg is not running out of the bread enclosure, then close the toaster lid. Cook for 3 minutes.
9. While waiting for the egg to cook, butter the remaining two slices of bread using a fork because for some reason all of the butter knives will have slipped through to another dimension, or perhaps they are just in the dishwasher, but we cannot be sure and will need to perform a study using String Theory to make a determination.

10. After the egg has cooked, make more space on the toaster and put one of the remaining pieces of buttered bread onto the toaster, with the buttered side down.

11. Put the Bacon onto the buttered slice of bread, and then draw the symbol for Gravitational Constant using the barbecue sauce on top of the bacon, because we know this is required when calculating attraction of two objects with mass.

12. Use the spatula to put the bread and egg combination layer on top of the newly constructed bottom layer. You may notice the gravitational attraction between the egg and bacon layer, but this is expected due to the high level of yummy taste molecules contained within each plane.

13. Apply a small amount of salt and pepper, then apply the top layer of bread to ensure the maximum structural integrity is achieved, then close the lid and cook for another 2 minutes.

14. After the specified time has elapsed, rotate the burger 180 degrees to ensure the equal amount of deformation is achieved on the other side of the burger, then close the lid and cook for another 2 minutes.

15. Remove the burger from the toaster and place it onto the plate. Make a diagonal cut from one corner of the Burger to the other, producing two equal triangles that have half the surface area of the original rectangle in each.

16. Wipe down the sandwich toaster to ensure it is clean for the next experiment.

17. Show off the results of the experiment to hungry co-workers and tell them to read the lab write up so that they too can perform this experiment and verify our findings.

Results
The Bacon and Egg Burger turned out far better than expected. The yummy smell had people queuing up to perform their own experiment and verify our results. The total cost of ingredients used was approximately AUD $2.00 per burger and total time to perform the experiment was less than 10 minutes. The internal contents was thoroughly delicious with just the right amount of runny egg consistency. The stomach filling capacity of the burger far exceeded its competition in the commercial burger making market.
Conclusion
Cooking a Bacon and Egg Burger on the sandwich maker was possible, and highly successful, leaving very little to clean up and a very satisfied stomach.
